Keynote Speaker

Bryan Willett

Former CISO and Senior Director - Lexmark;

Global Security Board - CDO Magazine

Abstract

This keynote, "Building a Robust Security Culture from the Ground Up: A CISO's 10-Year Journey," offers a practical playbook for fellow executives based on a decade of experience transforming security at Lexmark, from an R&D-focused initiative to an enterprise-wide program as the company's first CISO. We will explore a phased approach to cultural change, beginning with the initial catalyst of customer-driven security inquiries and the importance of leveraging core organizational drivers to gain momentum. The session details a proven methodology, from establishing a foundational Security Development Lifecycle (SSDL) with "shock and awe" developer training to using ISO 27001 as a strategic banner to drive change within IT. Attendees will receive a tactical guide for engaging critical, and often challenging, departments—including Sales, Procurement, Legal, and Internal Audit—transforming them from potential roadblocks into security allies. You will leave with actionable strategies to simplify IT complexity and embed security hygiene as a shared responsibility across your organization.

Matt Doherty

Managing Director, Workforce Risk Management - Sikich;

Ret. Special Agent in Charge, U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center

Abstract

"The Leadership Blueprint for Workplace Violence Prevention"

Workplace violence remains a pressing challenge, affecting more than 2 million American workers annually and extending beyond physical assaults to include bullying, harassment, domestic abuse, and hostile environments. Rising concerns around mental health, suicide, and domestic violence signal the need for organizations to refresh and strengthen their approach to prevention.

Matt Doherty will share a comprehensive roadmap for developing and sustaining an effective workplace violence prevention program via the eight critical elements of a best practice-based plan — from building multidisciplinary threat management teams to conducting behavioral threat assessments, training employees, and fostering a culture of safety, transparency, and accountability.

Join us to better understand the critical steps organizations must take to not only comply with evolving legislation but also to create safer, more resilient workplaces. This session is particularly valuable for organizations seeking actionable guidance to protect employees, mitigate risks, and enhance organizational well-being.
